Algebra I Assignments
Today we learned how to factor some polynomials. Students were given a worksheet from which they need to complete 20 problems. These problems are in order from hardest to most difficult.
Here are some links I thought might be helpful:
http://www.coolmath.com/algebra/cruncher/algebra-problems-factoring-trinomials-0.htm On this site your child will be given problems and can try to type in the correct answers. Have them show their work on a peice of paper to get the answers correct.
http://www.teachertube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=50dcfccc84a970b3743f This is a great video created by another teacher on how to factor using the same method I taught the students. This method is generally referred to as the X method if you want to try to find more information or videos.
http://www.quia.com/rr/36611.html Here is a game that students can play to test their ability to factor. (This game may be more advanced than what we have done so far in class. I did not go through all the problems.)
Also if your chld wants to do some additional research have them google factoring polynomials or factoring trinomials.
