As the semester nears an end, I just wanted to post a few reminders.

CAN DRIVE EXTRA CREDIT

Remind your children that the last day for them to turn in cans for the school’s can drive for extra credit is December 4th.  Students will earn one point per can for bringing in cans in my classroom.

COGNITIVE TUTOR TEST GRADE DEC 11

Also, I will grade student’s independent progress in the Cognitive Tutor program for the second nine weeks on December 11th.  On this day students will be given two test grades according their achievement.  Students can log into the Moodle Online Classroom/Discussion Board linked to the right to print a scoring rubric if they have misplaced theirs.

HOMEWORK HELP

In addition, I just wanted to remind parents that after school tutoring is available Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3:00 to 4:00 in the school library.  Also, students can log into the Moodle Online Classroom/ Discussion Board for help with homework, to watch eduational videos, play educational games, get copies of the notes, take quizzes, etc…  Please encourage your child to take advantage of these resources.

Today (Monday) students are going to the computer lab to finish taking their quizzes which can be accessed throught the DISCUSSION BOARD link.  After completing their quizzes in the computer lab, students can work on the COGNITITVE TUTOR program which is worth two test grades at the end of the nine weeks on December 11th.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) students will be working on graphing linear inequalities in class.  This work will be collected and graded.  Students will not have homework over their Thanksgiving break.
