Today Algebra I students do have homework.  They are to complete page 65 from their packet.  This is due tomorrow.  These students also need to complete two pages of adding & subtracting integers from the same packet.  This is due on Wednesday.

Honors students took their Systems of Equations Test today.  They are to complete one page of integers practice problems from their packet to turn in by Wednesday.

ALGEBRA I:  finish worksheet from yesterday through # 28

HONORS:  workbook worksheet 7-2 (1-20)

Students were able to work in groups during class with my assistance on these.  They did not have time to finish this work in school, so they should still have a few to finish at home.

There will be a TEST over graphing systems of equations and solving systems of equations with substitution tomorrow (Friday).

This week students should be completing their career projects and studying for final exams.

Today students will be getting back their graded study guides which they had two weeks to work on.  Students should review the questions they missed and talk to me during class time or online within the MOODLE ONLINE CLASSROOM to figure out what mistakes they made.

Career projects are due on Tuesday and will be presented on the days that students are not taking finals.  Students can submit their projects online in the MOODLE ONLINE CLASSROOM.

FINAL EXAM STUDY GUIDE DUE FRIDAY 12/11/09

All students received a study guide packet for the final exam.  This is a grade for all students.  They need to complete problems #1 through #50. 

CAREER PROJECT DUE FRIDAY 12/18/09

Students will receive a career to research and instructions tomorrow.  This project is due before school gets out for Christmas Vacation.

HOMEWORK HELP

Students can log into the Moodle Online Classroom to post questions about their homework and get help from me during the evening from about 6:00 to 8:00 any weekday night.  Students can also attend after school tutoring every Monday and Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:00 in the school library for help.  There are also games, notes, and more available in the Moodle Online Classroom.

CANS FOR EXTRA CREDIT DUE 12/4/09

COGNITIVE TUTOR GRADED 12/11/09 (2 TEST GRADES)

Students can log into the Moodle Online Classroom to print a scoring guide if they are not sure of what their grade will be. 

QUIZ FRIDAY 12/4/09

Students will take a quiz on Friday consisting of 10 problems and 1 bonus.  Five are over writing equations in point slope form and five are review.

As the semester nears an end, I just wanted to post a few reminders.

CAN DRIVE EXTRA CREDIT

Remind your children that the last day for them to turn in cans for the school’s can drive for extra credit is December 4th.  Students will earn one point per can for bringing in cans in my classroom.

COGNITIVE TUTOR TEST GRADE DEC 11

Also, I will grade student’s independent progress in the Cognitive Tutor program for the second nine weeks on December 11th.  On this day students will be given two test grades according their achievement.  Students can log into the Moodle Online Classroom/Discussion Board linked to the right to print a scoring rubric if they have misplaced theirs.

HOMEWORK HELP

In addition, I just wanted to remind parents that after school tutoring is available Mondays and Wednesdays after school from 3:00 to 4:00 in the school library.  Also, students can log into the Moodle Online Classroom/ Discussion Board for help with homework, to watch eduational videos, play educational games, get copies of the notes, take quizzes, etc…  Please encourage your child to take advantage of these resources.
